this is a commercial vehicle subject to DOT inspection. Any obvious mods will invite closer scrutiny.

Zactly... This truck is all about making money and reliability, not about making maximum power to melt down a little 5.9 in a 26,000 lb truck.

Need to squeeeeeeeeeeze every fuel dollar and keep it in my pocket not the DOT's, don't need to blow it out the tailpipe in a ********* cloud of smoke pulling out of the chicken coops and twist off a 20+ foot long driveshaft.:peelout :bail

Woo Hoooo!!!!

Much accomplished today. My truck is now ridiculously long with a short wheelbase with 19' of new frame behind the rear tires LOL.

We spent about 3 or 4 hrs just fitting and aligning the new section using jacks, clamps, chain hoists, cherry picker, string, grinders, prybars, ratchet straps and a BFH.

Tacked on the run off plates and welded it up inside and out and got some of the finish grinding done getting it ready to fish plate.

Pretty happy with todays progress and the new rails look great. Can't get much straighter than this.

Even managed to feed George a slice of Pizza after work and get a few shots of me working this time so it doesn't look like I'm working my slave too hard.... Yea, I'm the fuzzy one that looks like Santa in camo.

Somethings gotta keep him warm when the dodge breaks on those Canadian runs :rotflmao

The Dodge isn't the one that broke on me last winter:moon:;pLOL

Have 172k on the Dodge now, put 86k on it since I bought it in this spring. No break downs.

Only thing that has been replaced is 6 tires, one clearance light bulb and 1 U-joint........ Oh and 5 oil changes and about 5700 gallons of fuel

And it'll be the Ford F-800 that does battle this winter in the peak busy RV shipping season starting in January hauling 2 at a time. Hope she performs as well as the Dodge has.

Way to spin it Mike ;p LOL

Still haven't got that hub broke loose on that grinder :Frustrate

Stinkin' grinding wheel bit and pinched between both frames when I was tweaking one of the joints for alignment and bound up and broke the wheel, jammed the chit outta my wrist and elbow -cuss

BUT hey ...I didn't bleed ;Sweet

The neat part was when we let the full weight on the welds

Now just to move the bogie back and see how she tracks....hopefully you won't be hitting both lane stripes
