the old snap on mt480 let me down.the old mag pickup that barely got me by in the past failed.
nothing like keeping up with the joneses........15 years latter.:D
i copied your setup with same timing light OLDBULL8.- good reviews on amazon.
i kinda like the lumy method but what do ya do? can't buy mag pickups anymore.

I have several lumi probes if that will help you any. You know those are no longer offered anywhere...

thank you Gary.

iv got 3 of those in good working condition.my issue was the magnetic pickup.one that came with meter didn't work at all.bought a parts meter and got a half decent one,but the wires were getting shot going into the black handle/base and she finally quit reading correctly.
though i miss the old snapon i really find the ferret w/advance timing light just about as simple to use and i'm happy doing it this way now too really.i suppose the biggest change was revving her up to 2k rpm to check it.that's really talking compared to the old 1400 rpm lol.
