Testing E4OD Solenoid Pack and Code referrence.

For all those that have E4OD problems and want to check the solenoid pack, get one of these. Also if the wires are burnt or insulation is off by the connector.

With an Ohm meter. Connect the Neg lead to Black and Pos. lead to a color lead. Read 20 - 30 Ohms.
Pin 1 Black. Ground
Pin 2 Red. Sol. 2
Pin 3 White Sol. 1
Pin 4 Blue
Pin 5 Green Sol 3 Converter Lockup
Pin 6 NA
Pin 7 Yellow TOT Connect Neg lead and Pos lead between these.37K TO 100K DEPENDING ON TRANS TEMP
Pin 8 Yellow TOT
Pin 9 NA
Pin 10 NA
Pin 11 Orange Electronic Pressure Control Connect Neg and Pos leads between these. Ohms 4.0 to 6.5
Pin 12 Orange Electronic Pressure Control Depending on trans temp. With pos lead on one Orange touch Neg lead to trans body, check for grounding, should be open.

Error Codes
49 1 -2 Shift error
56 TOT sensor circuit open
59 2 - 3 Shift error.
62 Converter Clutch Failure
66 TOT sensor 315* or Sensor Circuit Grounded
67 MLPS out of Range. (Manual Lever Position Sensor)
69 3 -4 Shift error
91 Shift Sol. 1 Circuit Failure.
92 Shift Solenoid 2 Circuit Failure
93 CCS (Coast Clutch Sol.) Solenoid 4 Circuit Failure
94 CCC (Converter Clutch Control) Selenoid 3 Circuit Failure
98 Electronic Pressure Control.
99 Electronic Pressure Control circuit failure. Shorted or open.

tip; be sure to start with the link in that thread,that takes you to insuring you start with cleaning the harness/solenoid pack plug and pins.this ones free and often the cause for the common code.

Guys and gals,
I want everyone to know that I GREATLY appreciate and the advice and tips!! I’m learning FAST in here.

One thing I noticed last night, the OD has started to flash now. Does it flash a code? Mine just blinks on and off at a steady rate.
