This is a write up on how to install a factory ford aluminum differential cover on your 10.25 axle.

The cover comes from ford or can be found on ebay. It is for 2008 and up Diesel Superdutys. The ford part number is 8C3Z-4033-A. It can be had from the dealer for only about $60

If you use this you WILL need longer bolts. I used 1 inch long 5/16 grade 8 hex bolts on mine, along with lockwashers.

I wont go into an article about changing your fluid... that is self explanitory.

I used a gasket from advance and smeared a light coat of RTV on each side.

When it is all done you can enjoy a nice looking differential cover that was made for a new truck.

Okay. That didn't work as well as I might have hoped. The pictures did not transfer along with the text.

Part of the problem, I think, is that I'm copying from MSWord, a .doc formatted document. I'm copying and pasting into the forum. The forum really wants html format, I'm pretty sure.

In a bit I'll try converting the same file to pdf format, and again copying and pasting. But first my wife requires a bit of my time.

You need to upload the images somewhere. Imgur, etc.
How big is your folder with these writeups? If you want to send it to me I can get all of the images uploaded, files cleaned up, etc.
