So I was wandering what engine series this is?
It's a 2010, I try looking at stuff on tdi club, but it's sectioned by engine series.

The engine code should be CJAA. The way you can tell for certain is to look at the timing belt cover which will have a label with the engine code. I believe the only other engine code the that year was CBEA but not many of them were made that year.

Well, if you call it a mk6 on tdiclub, you'll get vilified because for VW purists it's a 'MkVI'
But yeah, you have a mk6, Mark 6, MK6, etc.
How do you like it?

Good so far.
It's actually my girlfriends.
Big upgrade from the aveo. Lol

Pretty torquey. Wish it was a bit faster though.
I like the interior, but find it a little rough getting out.
Only other complaint is the lights aren't auto off.
Mileage dropped to 36.4, but is now up to 38.
Was 39.x for the first few days.

Can't wait to one day delete and tune it.

And I saw the talk about mk6/mkvi/etc.
Saw some higher ups calling them that, and that's how the forums are titled.

I made the mistake of commenting in a Cummings forum the other day. Lol

Haha. Yes, they have plenty of torque. A few times turning onto an inclined highway ramp, I've spun the front tires and I didn't feel like I was stomping on the gas. I would just make sure all the SBs and recalls are complied with because some of the Gen 6 cars had camshaft issues and a bunch of other minor problems that come from releasing a new series of car. I was going to go for a newer model year (I have a Mk4 with the VE-Bosch setup) but I'm getting between 50-60mpg on the highway, which is where 90% of my driving is. And I like the old style mechanical fuel pump. Also check out the trusted tdi mechanics thread on that forum. I have no problems taking mine to a dealer for things I don't want or don't have the time to fuss with, but a second option is always nice.

She did the extended warranty.
So it'll go in for stuff.
Thing will definitely squeal the tires.

Correction, it's at 37mpg right now according to the dic.
Which I know isn't 100% accurate, but gives a good baseline.
Using fuely also, but it hasn't registered the mileage yet.

Is that an automatic or manual? I'm trying to convince my wife to come to the dark side and she wants newer and I like older.

It's the DSG.
Personally, i like the DSG.
Can put it over in the shift it mode, or sport mode, or just go to normal D.
I'm with you on older.
Even like a 06 would do better in the mileage department.
