I should mention this is my first diesel…mileage just over 300K.
All you folks on Oilburners have been a huge help. I just read every 7.3 post, whether it’s pertinent or not.
I ran low & had to switch to my (‘93 F250 7.3 IDIT) front tank,
which I try not to do below a quarter tank…had the rear tank replaced so it’s cleaner near the bottom. Since running that sludgy fuel, it’s harder to cold start, so I’m wondering whether replacing the fuel filter’s necessary, or is there a cleaning fluid I should add?
Do I need the glow plugs replaced and/or the injectors checked/replaced?

Start with the stickies, read them FIRST...
Then do the atf filter cg.
look at the fsv tech 101 for more info.
i would do the easy\cheap stuff first.
ip and inj. Are good for 100-125k

Thanks CLB, did the fuel filter change with D-Kleen & it starts & runs much better - no smoke on cold starts
