as someone who has installed sumps on other diesels, there is no need.
these engines do not command enough fuel flow that it would gain you anything. Technically the fuel selector valve becomes a restriction on a obs powerstroke around 500-600hp
unfortunately no idi is yet there
You may have been planning to do away with the fsv, however the point still stands the factory 3/8" lines will be plenty.
Plus with sumps you can pick up crud in the tank if anything gets in it, and you have more spots for potential leaks. because if you dont get it sealed or otherwise leaks, then you have to go to a larger sump to cover that hole, and hope you get it right this time.
you arent making enough power to warrant it.
i have my r&d bypass/return style lift pump plumbed into the factory lines, after the fsv, and it keeps a constant 10 psi inlet psi, and never drops, EVER.
I ran a 110 and stage 1 injectors. never waivered because the lift pump a walboro 255 is enough for a 7.3 psd which needs 65+ psi and roughly 100gph
