ok ok ok, heres one for the books....

seeing that brick nose vs the OBS main engine connector harness are on opposite sides...

im thinking about putting my GPC on the driverside, instead of the pass side.
the harness i have needs to be made up anyways...

do you see any issues that i cannot see by doing this?

application: the 94/90/86 F24DR Bronco

If you're making your own harness, the only thing I would be careful of is with the wires going from the controller to the glow plugs. I found out the hard way that the glow plug controller is very sensitive to how much resistance is read through those wires to ground...with too much or too little resistance, the controller will think the glow plugs are warm and not cycle them as much as necessary.

I didn't know this and thought I'd be okay running individual wires to each plug (larger wire equals more current and added safety margin, right?), and my 7.3l controller cycles the plugs for a split second upon turning the key on, so I have to cycle them by cycling the key every 10 seconds or so (no time, and at this point no urgency, to put a 7.3l harness in)...

When I turboed my truck, I made a Banks-style bracket out of some 3/16" aluminum plate and mounted it over the driver-side valve cover. Had to extend the rear-most passenger side gp wire by about 6".

No issues so far...
