I've been having problems lately with my brake pedal losing vacuum at stoplights or when going slow through a parking lot.
I put the vacuum pump that Genlightning sent me on last night and still the same problem. I bought a vacuum tester and have 22in at idle, I also isolated the booster and vacuumed it down, it held fine and then I vacuumed the whole system down and it held fine also.
I went out tonight and bought a new check valve for the booster, still no cure.
So now what? Can my booster be bad? I replaced the booster when I bought the truck, because it would leak air when I had my foot on the brake pedal.
I have noticed however that I have alot of fluid leaking down behind the master cylinder and down the face of the booster. I'm wondering if fluid got in there and ruined something.
Can a booster just lose vacuum like that? I would think I would hear air escaping somewhere. Thanks
