Steering Column Gear Selector Sloppy/Loose!

It feels like it's going to come off... I'm always gentle with it but let's face it, it's old and things wear out.
This has been getting worse, I use to have a local guy that's all he did was rebuild steering columns but he shut down.
Are parts available for whatever is wearing out???
Local junk yards never carry this OLD stuff... all those parts/vehicles are long gone.

Column should be the same between F250 and F150. Tilt columns seem to be the most difficult to find FWIW.

Yes, they are the same. You may find it cheaper if you want to travel a little bit and go get it. I got that off the site www.car-part.com
