starter solenoid switch

Thenone on my truck is bad and I have to short it to start the engine. I ordered one from rock auto # SW1533C ford part #E87F-11450-BA.

The problem is that the one that just came out of the truck is #E9TF-11450-AA and it have two pins for the power and one for the switch Now the one I bought have 4 pins, two for the power a silver color one for the switch and a gold one same size and I don't know if this is the right one or not.

I looked it up on Rock Auto. I presume the AC Delco Part# F934 listed above the Ford part is the AC version of the same switch?
If you click the "more info"
tab on the parts page. Does the switch you have look the same as the ones pictured? Just wondering if the switch they sent you matches the picture of same. You may have already looked at the pictures. Just a thought if you had not.

Yes I have seen the pic before I bought it it has 4 pins just like the one they sended, the acdelco has 3 pins instead but I wanted the motorcraft part instead at the time. The one on My truck is a motorcraft part too but I do not know if the PO replaced it any time, also the bolt pathern on the new one is differet.

It should work. Use the small terminal marked S and ignore the terminal marked I. Mabey cap off the I terminal.

SW1533C New Solenoid

As our trucks did not come stock with the Electric Fuel Pump. Could it be that is what the extra terminals are for?

Well thank You All 5 just installed it as some of You suggested cleaned all the terminals really wel and it works perfect my truck always starts fast but this time it almost didn't crancked.

At a glance that looks to be the glow plug relay. When my starter solenoid let me down I went to NAPA. You live in Silver Spring, I live in Sandy Spring very close to Cloverly. The NAPA there on New Hampshire avenue is the best around. The staff is very helpful now. When I went there six years ago I made a vow never to return. Two years ago I needed a starter and they would take a AAA discount. The staff had changed and the are great now. Sorry, where was I going with this. Anyway, when they looked it up the book it was unclear so he brought out four solenoids for me to choose from. It might be worth a trip, there open till three on Sundays. Keep us posted.

Well they sure are the best from around here if You compare them to Advance and Autozone , also if You are so close I'd like to Meet some time (pm). I didn't know they are open on sunday they said no last time I asked but this one I have works excellent now with all the terminals clean. There is not too many stores with experienced personnel around here so most time I buy from rockauto they are interested to keep a customer.

the I terminal is a low amp 12 volt out when the sol is engaged. they were made that way for old ignition systems that had resisted voltage to the coil while running, but having full 12 volts or close to helped make more spark while cranking. I put one like that on my truck, and wired the I terminal to the fss, because I was having a voltage drop problem at the fss when real cold, and now I get 10.2 - 11 volts while cranking where before I got 9volts. this made a big difference in how my truck starts. I should also mention that the reason my truck has this issue is because of a starter that draws slightly high amps and 3 year old batteries.

It is also used to trip a relay to power the fuel pump while cranking, prior to getting enough oil pressure to toggle the oil pressure safety switch, hence the "with electric fuel pump" listing.
