This is tough for me to post but we found out 3 weeks ago our 31 yo Daughter has stomach cancer.
Dr. said its a type they see in much older folks.
She is in wisconsin , the good side of that she is less than 100 miles from the mayo clinic, they gave her/us much more hope than her local doctor.
Her chemo treatment starts today to stop the growth of the mass which has doubled in 3 weeks. Not good by any means.
Her body is in great shape to fight it, so no feeding tube required as yet.

She has a great outlook and a great Brand new Husband for support.

    She will kick its ass.
If I dont get back to inquiries quickly please understand.
    Thanks
    Russ

I'm so sorry to hear this, Russ. It's terrible news. It sounds like they caught it in it's early stages, and so can beat it with proper treatment.

At what point will the two of you be going to Wisconsin? (I'm assuming that you will be going there.) Should I perhaps reschedule my driving stop in Newberg? Let me know. Current schedule has me leaving San Jose probably the weekend of the 17th.

Please let me know what I can do to help.

It wasnt early enough and Jessi has said she will let us know when she needs us. Stubborn kid. So no need to reschedule.

A little sunlight for the situation, my 8 yo was diagnosed with stage 4b hodgkins lymphoma.
Doctors at ucsf frisco gave us a <40% chance of recovery.

He is 29 today and in complete remission.
    Hang in there you guys.

Sorry to hear about that. Prayer works... my son was given 90 days to live.. we were told to put my other kids in grief counseling, take Justin home and make him comfortable, and contact a certain funeral home who doesn't charge for infants. The ladies at my church set a goal of 40 hours of continuous prayer at the church. and guess what??? = My son, though a severely brain damaged, blind quadriplegic( is on no meds,) is home, happy healthy and will turn 16 this September. Dont give up hope, pray until you cant , and then pray some more!!!! be specific in what you ask Him and He will hear you and deliver His answer to you... PRAY , PRAY, PRAY!

Best wishes and prayers for your daughter. I just beat Vocal Cord Cancer with Radiation Treatment. I know this is not the same as Stomach Cancer. I also know the treatment is much different.

Sorry to hear about your Daughter, Russ. Should you need anything that you think I may be able to help with, being as I am in southwestern Wisconsin, please just let me know. If your Daughter needs stuff picked up in Oshkosh and hauled up to Mayo, I could get it done!
