Well this morning I tried to figure out why I was having hot start issues again… this time it was the fuel pressure sensor leaking, allowing air in. Since the engine harness has been on a diet that rid itself of the wire to that anyways, I replaced it with a fuel pressure gauge that I can check with the hood open.
That seems to have done the trick, I went to the dirtbike trails near the local lake and it fired right up after having sat 3 hours, and further testing this morning had it starting just fine at 40 minutes of sitting from fully warmed up.
On a side note, service trucks aren’t great for hauling dirtbikes…
Also this morning I made some progress organizing what I will need for manual fuel selector valve and Walbro pump… I plan on replacing all the lines too, and I got my front tank plumbed into the manual valve, since the current stock FSV quit switching to the front tank. I just have the manual one set to off for now. I hope to make some more progress on my fuel system this evening.
