Hey Brian!! Your 6 door doesn't seem so strange anymore. You'd better get busy and build one of these.

Just something about cruising down the river in a 50 year old boat and a 50 year old motor..
The prop on this boat is older than my ex-wife.. this old Glastron has served me well. She's got a 69 800 Mercury out back.other than the warring harness she is virtually untouched. With just me and the two dogs, it will run close to 38 mph.
I have located the absolute twin to this boat other than it is..70s green where this one is orange. I can get it for virtually nothing. I would like to bring it home and cut it for a TDI/mercruiser conversion. These Boats only weigh 705 lb without motor. For comparison a 4.3 Chevrolet makes 222 foot pounds of torque, where as many of the tdi's make in the same range at a much lower RPM. Not after speed, but efficiency. Even at her age, I had over 300 key on hours and 11 weeks this year. That's a lot of two stroke oil and gasoline.
looks like an original paint 80/81 F150Ranger not even much rust?
Doing a pump job at work the other day gotta love working on a 26 inch pump we're everything is done with the over head
Can't help but wonder how many parts you've worked on over the years that came from our shop. We do a lot of work for ITT Goulds pumps. Not so much castings but many fabricated metal parts. It's cool to deal with stuff that ships all over the country. We deal with other manufacturers too like Pentair, Odessa Pump... etc.
The pump shell in the pic is a GIW we have everything rubber lined because it's a slurry pump for the tailings but as you know there are a lot of parts from different manufacturs but that's above my pay grade I just go to the wearhouse and grab what I need and put it together on this pump we replaced the shell, backplate , suction cover ,impeller and the barrel it takes 4 guys about 10hrs if we have done a few together before
Just a couple of pics of a sunrise up in the high country - long weekend away.
My wife 01 Jetta tdi gets 45-50 mpg when it’s running right!
