SD design flaw warning!

welp my buddy found a major design flaw tonight.
while rollin down the IS, doing 80. no load,
the tred on the left front peeled off.
slapping the inner fender, ripping the harness to shreds.
engine died, and you know what happens when the engine dies....
no PS no brakes,
this is a good friend I used to pit for.
thankfully he's pretty good at getting crossed up in dirt, just may have saved a few lives...
thought this warranted a warning...

Many many many vehicles have the pcm, power distribution, etc located in that same area.
That truck isn't a 6 speed?
What kind of tire was it? (Was it a firestone? Lol)

I don't know what truck he was driving, he's got 3 02's and there all white.
but his main truck is a 6 speed... dunno the tire, I think he took it off another truck...
he's gonna be coming to me to fix it lol

I know if my options are no engine power, I'll leave the transmission engaged to provide power braking and steering. Lol

he did something right, as no other vehicles were involved, and the rig stayed on all 6
well, at this point... 5?

i had a gator attack happen years ago in my F450 carrier. there was even a lifted bronco tied to the rear deck. pulling over to the side and keeping the truck from flipping over at the same time was a chore. every since then, keeping my speed in check while loaded was priority.
