If it connects at all, it's very likely flashed. By any chance did you have a door open when you were trying it? Try it with both/all doors closed, and the dome / map lights off.

Connecting with your phone and connecting with the pcm are two very different things.
I can plug mine in and it'll power up then connect with my phone.
But won't actually connect to the pcm and read info. I know for sure mine hasn't been flashed.

The OP's is connecting then disconnecting immediately. That's most likely the PCM connection, NOT the phone connection. Depends on how reliable the device and the phone are.

It connects to the phone no issue, sometimes connects with the ecu but then drops with no data logged. This is with the vgate elm327 cheapo unit. I have a OBDlink MX on the way to try next.

My results were posted with the OBD Link LX. It gave some results, but I'm not sure if it actually scanned it.

Ah, may need to go into the settings. Change the protocol to j1850. (I think that's the right one)
