I know the system flush that Ford sells is really good stuff. VC-9 is what it’s called, I think. It cleanes everything out. But, if you have any shmeg plugging a leak, it will find it for you

How does vx9 do on rust?
The rest of the normal cooling system issues are non existent, just rusty as all get out.

Water wetter gets a nod from me also.

If you want to be aggressive I’ve had luck with vinegar, it’s just hard on gaskets and rads

CLB - Evaporust makes a cooling system cleaner now called (I think) Thermocure. I used regular Evaporust to remove the rust in my idi and it seemed to work well. It is expensive at around $15-20 a gallon so I only dosed the block. Probably wouldn't need much for a 4 banger.
