Hey all, with the holidays coming up I've been thinking about all the things I need to pack for several long distance trips. Spare fluids, everything to change a tire, selection of wrenches and sockets and other miscellaneous tools. I'm thinking about packing a spare fender mounted solenoid and a few other odds and ends. Does anybody have parts or tools they always pack when they travel a ways for our trucks?

might look into a emergency injection line
I also usually pack chains for the truck, and pulling chains.
Jack.

24/7 loadout:
3/8" standard/metric socket/ratchet set - 1/4"-7/8"
full set of screwdrivers, 3 channellocks, 6 different vise grips, pliers, 2 each 1/2", 9/16", 5/8" wrenches, 11-in-1 screwdriver
wiring and fuse kit (the cheap 2-sided case with all the different terminals) with 3 fuse holders
150' spool of 10ga wire, 4ga jumper cables
good spare, tire iron, 2 jack stands, and 2 10 ton bottle jacks
1/2" breaker bar and ratchet with 1/2"-1 1/2" sockets
12v trouble light, 18" crescent wrench, 12" pipe wrench
spare throttle cable
all 3 ball sizes and a pintle hook on individual hitches
1/2", 3/4", 1", and 1 1/2" schackles
30' tow strap, 20' tow chain, 2 20' tow ropes, 8 ratchet straps, 50' 3/8" double braid nylon rope
1 gal each: brake fluid, oil, coolant, mixed coolant, #1 diesel
PS white, 911, atf, oil & fuel filters
assortment of bolts/nuts/washers, box of self-tapping screws
set of t-handle torx drivers, set of allen wrenches
duct, gorilla, electrical, masking, teflon tapes
old set of glasses, 12v heater

There are other things as well, aside from the tire, it all fits behind and under the seats and in a single milk crate and 5 gallon bucket in the bed
I keep the screwdrivers with the coloring stuff for the kids in the passenger door map pocket, the 3/8" socket set case fits in the drivers door map pocket

I changed the clutch on my truck once with nothing but tools IN my truck LOL

I second the spare throttle cable. I had one break on my last trip I made. Luckily I was 2 miles from my bosses house, but 20 miles from home.

I typically vary things you don’t find at every parts store or TSC.

A spare and a set up nuts.
A real jack
Spare e-fuel lift pump (unless you are running mech pump)
I’ve been considering an emergency injector line
Assortment of hand tools.
A spare injector
Some extra fuel hose
Assorted electrical connectors and fuses.
A couple long jumper wires. Remember it does t actually take much to make the truck run even in the event of a total electrical meltdown.

That’s my short list on top of extra fluids.
