I use a company service truck it's an 06 F450 with the dreaded 6.0.
The right side CAC hose next to the battery keeps popping off under load, I put new hoses and clamps on it, but it still pops off.
I removed the hoses and pipe from the truck, found on YouTube the clamp that goes on the lower end of the pipe with the detent in the grove of the pipe with the clamp over it, should the clamp be torqued about 110 inlbs, is that right or am I missing something? Thanks.

Maks sure all oil is removed from boot and intercooler barb, spray the inside of boot with hair spray. After installation let it dry for a while, this should stop it.

I'm curious as to what the purpose of the hair spray is for, is it to make it tacky, like an adhesive? I read something about using hair spray.

Yes it gets tacky and it doesn't set up so hard that it won't come back apart later. It is also easy to clean up when it needs to be taken apart later on.

I was skeptical that it would work when I first heard about it, have used it with success numerous times. The aerosol seems to work the best.
