Remote Mount Batteries?

Any ideas how to remote mount the batteries on an Econoline?

I would like to use the space where the batteries are for electric fuel pump, coolant filter, etc.

Any recommendations on off the shelf battery trays that will mount to the frame rail?

I have seen on the newer E-Based Cab and Chassis's there is a battery tray on the passenger side frame rail. Maybe you could find something like that. It may work.

On those little Iveco type trucks that I've rented, they seem to have a dual tray setup that would be ideal.

As stated above, 1994 and up econoline cab and chassis(like a schoolbus) will have a frame mounted box on the passenger side. I can try and get a pic if you want. Ford still sells them new.

I called Ford. The part number is 4C2Z10769AA. It holds 1 Group 65 battery, and costs 158.40 plus tax.

2 are needed for a diesel, and holes in the frame must be drilled if they don't already exist.

Just for the record the ones they but on school buses (2-3 group 31's in the case of ours) are a royal pain as the battery box really isnt big enough, the tops of the batteries are fractions of an inch from the top of the (metal) battery box....

I would like to remote my batteries too on the Bronco, on passenger/right side of frame close to starter. Mount the solenoid someplace close but short leads to the starter. Keeps center of gravity lower and gets some weight off the front end back more central. I'd like to get that setup with two oddyseys or yellow top Optima group 31's

Here's a little something you can install for those low clearance batteries to help keep water topped off. You don't even need to see the water levels in the batteries, self levels and doesn't over fill:
