Relay mod problem

Ok I did the relay mod back in the summer cause I have hid's and my relay went out for one so I put the working one in the low beam cause that's what I run an it went out the other night.no warning just went out when u went to leave the house the other night so I went and got 2 new relays today an I put one in the low beam harness and one headlight came on.i didn't have the switch on... So then we turned it on and hit the dimmer and the other low beam came on and turned the first one off.it worked fine 2 days ago so what happend. The high beam seems to be fine

Check your wiring, do you have a short somewhere?

I didn't when it went out it just quit

What caused it to just quit? That is what you need to be figuring out.

You would think if it was a short it would quit right after I replaced it the first time though don't you

Man, electrical is weird. It can do things that you don't think make sense. Like, how I had no brake lights with LED bulbs, but the turn signals lit up....

Also, did you check your relays to make sure the terminals were all in the same location?

They should be its hard to tell on the old ones but I mean high beam works fine so low beam should to imma put a new ballast on when I get home which I don't think that's it but hell who knows

Test (don't rely on a visual check) all relevant fuses. Test the headlight switch and the beam switch.

So now I feel like a ******* for not looking at the relays. Same prong but diffrent circuits lol. So to the guy at Napa that said ya it'll work it has the same numbers is flat stupid lol cause I asked and gave him the old one to match up. Oh well

It did we pulled one outta 92 f150 and it worked so imma go buy some more tommorrow
