Doing a tranny swap in a few days. I haven't had much frost plug issue in the past and have previously just left the bellhousing frost plugs alone when having a transmission out. What are ya'll's thoughts on not messing with what's not broken, when it comes to frost plugs? I DO have an installation tool but, I still think it may be a good idea to just leave well enough alone.

If you have the proper tool and feel like doing it, then I say to go ahead. Of course the down side is having to remove the transmission again if there's an issue.

I would leave them be. If your good about coolant maintenance you shouldn't have any issues.

Unless you see signs of leakage I would leave them alone. To my knowledge, they are stainless steel and should not rust out.
