Last time we replaced the FSS, we lost the little fat rubber ring that goes in there. Lived with the leak for a few months, dumb as voters, then called up Tim at Accurate to ask what it might be. Tim made me aware of the existence of that little fat black ring, which surely falls out unseen on a lot of us.

I got the FSS conx kit from Tim for like $8, a deal, and installed the ring. Leak gone. But now it's starting to sweat again. I suspect that my fuel line arrives at a slightly incorrect angle.

So, I could try bending it to have it go straight in. Or just junk that elbow and rubber flare, and use some standard brass fittings, to a barb, and connect with some rubber hose.

Anybody BTDT?

I would try bending it and getting them to line up and clean the fitting and replace the o-ring with something that’s compatible with fuel.

Otherwise I would just make a new fitting and run hose clamps like you said
