So I ordered a spectre aluminum/plastic tank rad for 190$ at Summit with a Stant 13psi cap. Overall I’m rather impressed with the look, the cooling passages are much larger than the old copper one, and there’s only one small dent... the box looks like WW3 though. I’ll probably install it over the weekend along with a real water temp gauge to be safe. I’ll keep ya’ll posted, thanks for the advice!

Keep an eye on the junction between the core and the tanks. With the Diesel pulse (what also causes cavatation) it can split seams. That is where all of my copper core ones leaked at the solder seam. The aluminum Champion 3 row has not as it is welded aluminum. Not the best one on the market, but it has worked for me (5 yrs/ 40,000 plus miles). Hope this one works as well for you. Any other one has only lasted about a year or so.
