im thinking about it this way vegas, the new pump that your getting from this local reliable shop is so good. i wonder how many pumps has been returned back to them that you yourself dont know about and that just puts you in the same unlucky spot as the returnee of a bad pump. and in hammerdowns position it doesnt sound like pensacola is the one thats turning out bad pumps it sounds like mwfi is the ones turning out bad pumps. i myself bought 8 new injectors from pensacola and i am experiencing the same issues, do i think its pensacolas fault for the way my truck is running, NO. simply because it was running fine when i first put them in and didnt start acting up until two days latter. i would have to say in the prosses of installing them trash is the culprit. i just dont see trying to give someone a bad name because you received a unlucky pump, if thats the case than every fuel injection company is guilty in some form or fashion. thats just my .02cents.

Well, pump has been in for a couple days, all seems o.k. I took it down yesterday and the shop set the timing for 95 bucks. I guess I'll see how it holds up.
You don't seem overly enthused...is the vibration etc gone?
You are right hammerdown, I'm not overly enthused, I'm burnt out and sick at all the money I spent on this thing and in the process of changing the pump, I screwed up the throttle cable.
The shake is gone and the truck runs decent but I dont think they set the timing as high as some guys here run theirs. I want to say he set it at 5 degrees but I was in a hurry to get to a job and didnt discuss it much with them. I am dissapointed at the lack of power I have compared to that smokin turbo pump I had on but people in this city, like the smog police wont tolerate that kind of smoke! So all in all the truck runs fine, I'm just not too in love with it at the moment, I'll get over it in a couple weeks.

hey vegas i was wondering how much it was for them to test your injectors ive got a set of b's and would like to get them tested.![]()
well that turbo pump could have been turned down to take care of the smoke as well as your current pump could be turned up for the same results, how is the smoke now? any difference in boost? it is possible you need to turn up the pump.
******* that hood latch and the $$$ put out is sickening...I know.
When I get my original IP back from Mel I get to do it all over again then, deal with Pensacola!
Take a breather for a few days then rotate that pump a dimes worth counter clockwise > see how it feels.
