So this makes no sense but I've given up on finding the root of the problem for now. In my 92, the window doesn't go up from the passenger side only the drivers side. I tried a new switch but that did nothing, and verified the switch worked. It's almost like the window can only ground the signal in "down" for some reason from that side. Yet if I flip the plug 180 degrees to the window motor and press "down" it goes up.

My question in the meantime, is can I get a double pole double throw switch similar to this diagram, and use it to "switch" the two wires the same way as physically rotating the plug 180*? I'd think it would do what I wanted. One pole would be "left to left right to right" from the source and on the other side I'd just cross them over to the window motor so it's routing the other way. I don't really have time to mess with this right now with a 2 month old, but it would be nice to have this window work for now for the passenger if I can buy a 5$ switch on amazon.
