Greetings everyone,

I'm new to the forum having just bought a new to me 2005 Silverado with the LLY duramax. I got a what I think is a great deal on it from a dealer. I did notice after buying it that my power steering lines are leaking at the crimp joints between the flex hosing and solid hosing that attaches to the pump. I reviewed recalls on this model and recall 79369 directly addresses this issue.

The dealer I bought it from says my VIN is not associated with this recall. Has anybody else had this problem the leaking lines and got it fixed under the recall?

Thanks

Just bite the bullet and replace them with hydraulic line. The GM lines are crap and you will have the same problem again later if you use their lines. The hydraulic shops all know the problem and they can fix you up. The same goes for the cooler lines etc....
