I though that box out front might be for hauling the beauty queen to the state fair... :D

Looks like a nice add on to a bug out rig. You could throw a generator up there, or some fuel/water cans... who knows! :sly

Nonetheless that's a nice truck you scored. Lots and lots of goodies! ;Sweet

When I try to start it all I hear is a click, going to try jumping that relay on thepassenger side of engine compartment. Really want to get it running to verify gv works, and locally someone I work with is interestedin a running idi.

I would put the gear vendors in your truck. That extra overdrive with 4.10 gears would sure be nice I would sure like a unit lie that in my truck.

I would second that put the gv in ur own truck idk what you paid but that's what I would do no questions there. The idler belt pully is freakin sweet I have never seen one of those before. Your also not to far from me if u don't use the buckets I would be interested.

Gv would be nice, but I would still have to drop multiple hundred dollars on a new adapter I think t fit my zf5, not really sure. Those seats are damn comfortable devon! Previous owner said interior was shot but the seats have no rips or anything.

Ya they are my dad had a set like that in a freeborn I believe 6.9 motor home. There mini couches lol. No switch your truck the c6 keep ur zf5 as a spare I love my zf honestly but a c6 or e4od with gv is the best faster shifts more gears idk somthing about goin auto has had me goin. I truly love driving a manual but I don't feel the zf handling that much more power. I think Mel once said that a c6 with 4:10 would reverse the rotation of the earth. Lol

Have the same Banks kit on my truck (installed in '87).

The GV makes me drool.

The idler makes me think, "Why the heck didn't I think of that!" I've had several high amp alternators on mine and if I get above 150 amps, the belt slips big time. An idler would likely prevent that by delivering a little more wrap.

Oh, and all the camper hookups and brackets... had them too. Mounting holes are still there.

Congrats on a great parts score! Heck, it looks good enough to resurrect and use.

Well I guess I'm in line for that GV! LOL

If no one else bellies up for it, I'll drive from SD and come get it. I'll even put Devons new seats in the back and bring em all home at once.

My hydroboost, with new flex lines is installed! Time for a long trip to test 'em anyway!

Dang! If I could get the Rrrr's down a couple-a-hundred, I think I could make almost 18mpg's on my n/a! That would be awesome for that heavy girl!.....Eeerrr.... big boned lady. :D

Almost forgot... not being an auto guy, where/what make did that idler come off of? I've got a start up squealer too, try to eliminate squeal so I can sneak out easier.

Not sure on the idler pulley, looks kind of like what was on my bronco 5.0 but thats just a possibility.

Im out here trying to get this pig to start, just clicks, nothing happens. checked cables they seem ok, batterys show 12.5v (could just be surface charge, but wouldnt start when i tried jumping it w/my maxima before I bought it). Tried jumping the relay on the pass side of engine compartment; nothing. Looks like this could get irritating, time to search the forum!

idk; its dark out now. I believe it to be the starter or solenoid but cant test either by myself. Im so mad I work 12s, I work the next 3 days and wont really be able to get rolling on this thing till Sunday. I haev a large breaker bar so tomarrow when I get home I will try spinning it by hand. I would like to have someone in the truck trying to start it while I tap the starter, and measure voltage at solenoid but cant for now. ugh. Maybe I will swap the starter out of my 92 just to get this thing cranking.

I'd be interested in the steering section with the horn bar and cruise buttons if it is fully functional. Around here in Massachusetts this stuff is tough to find. My cruise buttons on the steering section are NFG. Gladly Paypal ya and shipping, not in any big hurry.

Best,

Paul
