At that kind of power, the standard LUK kit is probably just dandy. That’s what’s in my truck and it handles the camper fine.

Anybody have experience with these M-pact ceramic clutches? What is the reputation of M-pact or the other brands of clutches on Rock Auto? SB is too pricey for what I need. I am hoping my build makes 300 bhp. I occasionally tow 8-15k.
300 bhp or 300 whp?
300 bhp is easy. 300 whp however - I want to see dyno results and a build sheet.

For 300 bhp, a LuK is fine. They hold up just fine, especially if you don't floor it and dump the clutch. Let the clutch out, *then* floor it and it won't slip.
(even dumping the clutch, they don't tend to slip, even at higher HP levels.
Also, I've found that some slippage can be caused by 'pump up' in the clutch pedal assembly. Make sure that you have just a hair of free-play at the top of the pedal so it's not pushing on the master cylinder at all with the pedal all the way up.

Oh, definitely 300whp: “Wish-hp”:rotflmao
Nope. bhp it is. Hopefully:rolleyes:.
Still, this ceramic one is about the same price as the Luk, so the question remains: Is it any good? Wondering if anybody has any experience with them?

going with tis clutch. http://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=6752512&cc=1126606&jsn=232
the disc alone is 110, no brainer to get the PP for another 40$..

hoping I dont have to resurface the flywheel, it hasnt been slipping hard or very much. well see when I take it off.

edit: $40 to machine it...getting it done. will replace my rear main with an oem navistar one as well. it is the one last thing that was leaking on the truck, and shell be perfect after this!

Greg,
It’s been a couple years... how do you like the clutch?
