Alright after the past 2 months of Giving the Anti-Christ new tires, a new flexplate, and then as of this past weekend all new rear brakes and E-brake cables. So of corse today on the way to work the Anti-Christ has to find a new thing to break and **** me off:mad: I drive in alot of stop and go traffic so i usually turn off my O/D so it dosent shift back and forth between 3rd and OD. So I hit the button when im doing 40mph and its in O/D and it dose nothing! no light goes on and it stays in OD -cuss

Is it possible for the shifter button to just break randomly?:dunno

sorry for it being a bit long but my pick up is slowly killing me with all its problems and im sick of spending my weekends fixing it-cuss

I would say it is just the button, or the wiring. Should be easy to test it. I like the name of the truck. LOL But I don't think your going to be blessed driving it. ;Really

Could be the button but most likely the wiring in the shift lever. If you take apart the steering column around where the lever goes into it, you should see the wiring coming out of the lever and thats probably where your problem is. Mine was completely worn through and I ended up putting in a new lever - problem sovled.

You can also pry off the trim piece at the end of the shifter handle and remove just the button and indicator window itself and try cleaning the switch with some contact cleaner.
