From 80-86 Ford had 3 different steel wheel colors.
This is how they came from the FACTORY. Dealers switch things around as we all know.
White wheels had no hubcaps at all on them from the factory.
Argent had the center dog dish caps
Black, had the full covers on them.
I my self have seen many "original" trucks with black wheels and dog dish caps, or white wheels with full covers etc. Dealers switched them around to what ever the customers wanted.
Witch explains why Mels Moose truck came with white wheels, I remember him saying it was a super plain jane truck with no hubcaps at all originally.
