All I can say is, I hope you guys running those setups don't drive in the rain or run through intersections with standing water in them. That has been the death of more diesel cars than I can count with those kind of intakes THe story is always the same on those things, I hear, Look at my cool new intake... then a few months later its: do you know where I can get a new engine
These things may be a little higher off the ground, but it's still playing with fire.
The factory air boxes have well placed water drains in them and so do the ATS air boxes. I would assume that Banks and Hypermax would have followed suit.
Aside from the fact that as previously mentioned, they are just drawing hot underhood air, where you would be much better off with a regular air box and a Hypermax cowl induction. Those things really put the extra air in and drop your EGts dramatically
