Well I finally got Big Ed out of the shop on Friday. I worked on it most of the week getting a long list of stuff done including:

New performance injectors,
Redong the Intake Manifold, 2-1/4" to 3" inlet.
New air compressor for the air horn system,
Adding a Boost Pressure switch for the Propane system and getting that going.
Installing a new Lighted License Plate frame for the new rear bumper that I got from Rob. Now its legal ;Sweet
New Back Up Lights on the hitch.
Replacing the K&N filter with a BHAF (Big Honkin Air Filter)
Oh Yea, new Cummins Badges on the front fenders....:D

I will be getting the 4:10's swapped out for the 3:55's starting on Wednesday.

Now that I am driving it I am coming up with other bugs that I have to fix:

Heater Core is starting to leak
Alternator is charging,....sometimes,..
High oil Pressure is lower than last year.
Adjust the kick down for the Trans,
Adjust the Throttle Cable, still not getting WOT
Adjust the Propane System
Mess with the GV so the driver has more control of when it shifts.

There is always something!,..

Anyway My brother took a couple of videos, HERE is a link to them since I dont' know how to post them here,...

Few Pics,..

Very nice Darrin. Just keep attacking "The List" one item at a time and it'll all be done before you know it.

on the oil pressure deal.... I'll have to dig out an old copy of TDR mag because was just reading an old copy this past weekend in the "reading room" about checking the oil pressure regulator spring and plunger set up on the filter base. I remember it gave measurements for the spring.

Very nice, did You put the pod's or You have the stock ones? The 89 sticks can flow a lot unless You want smoke :D. I fit the bhaf behind the stock battery, do You have a body lift on that truck?
I'm looking Myself for some option to reduce noise in the cab, mine is straight piped for now and the stacks do help but the thing still sounds like a tank going down the road, maybe some small straight flow 4" muffler just to reduce the exhaust noise a bit.

I didn't put any badges on mine with the big C, I like to see the faces on some guys when they ride next to Me, both when they hear it or when they see it pulling.

If you're running an early spec Ram engine(89-91) those PODS are actually a downgrade from the stock from what I've read... My 92 even with the "small" stock sticks is still mighty impressive.
I just scored a 97 F350 with a 460 for the engine, and my 89 Cummins may just move in there... My 89 is in very rough shape, and a crew would be one heck of a nice tow rig.

POD = Prince of Darkness, they're made by Lucas, if you're familiar with Lucas electrical, you'll understand... LOL The name also fits because they're a "dirty" injector, IIRC, they have a 4 hole nozzle, which doesn't atomize as well, and makes for a dirty burn. The IC/d stock stuff is 6 hole, as are quite a few of the aftermarket options

Cool, Thanks Travis, I'll check it out. I am not loosing any low idle oil pressure, it stays around 25 to 30, but the hot high rpm was at 60+ PSI last year and this year it is about 45. I have a Mechanical gauge to install and run to see if it is reading differently than my electric gauge.

Thanks for the comments guys! It is good go drive that thing again...

you gonna paint/coat the rear bumper to match?

Nope I am not planning on it, IIRC it is double power coated so I don't want to wreck that. It is actually a little darker than in the pic so Ill keep it the way it is. I think there is enough RED on the truck,...;Really

The List never ends, that is true, Just ask Mel, He has had the Moose truck for 18 years and his list still isn't done,..:D

The BHAF runs about $80.00 at NAPA, but here is a link where you can get it under $50.00

Where'd you relocate the battery to? Or, did you decide to go with a single battery?

Looking good!

Thanks Warden, When I did the conversion I used 2 optima red tops and was able to install them on the drivers side battery tray. Check out the pics in my sig.

Thanks EZ, I am running the POD's for now. my stock sticks were getting pretty dirty so I want to have them checked out. I am pretty impressed on how clean the PODS are running. I was concerned about the haze at idle, but there is none when warm. For Noise in the cab, you may have to remove the interior and sound deaden the whole thing It really works great, just a bunch of work.. I don't have a body lift, just a add a leaf in the front, and air bags in the rear that when not pumped up keeps the truck at stock height.

Sounds like a good setup for a swap to me,... ;Sweet
As far as my engine, it is hard to say what it is. It was a purchased from Cummins as a reman in 1999. It has the turbo setting up top like a bus, or industrial application. I think it was a 160 HP motor and it was not intercooled when I got it out of the Doner truck. I just know it works,..;:dunno
