Looking at some other threads it seems that adding a turbo to a 180k + engine is not recommended.

I think that was posted by a member's wife. I (w/ much help from the brotherhood) added one at 123K. The side effects have been perma-grin :D and increased fuel consumption caused by my right foot.

;Sweet Alright then! What's the most reliable turbo, easiest to install, how important is an innercooler, wastegated/non-wastegated (what's the diff), cooling sytems mods necessary  If ya'll know this on other threads then I'll search those.

I think asking what turbo is the best is like asking what oil is the best everyone has brand loyalties and think every turbo system has its down falls some on the instal and then some on the service aspects. I cant comment on any of the after market turbos because I have a factory turbo But If I am not mistaken the say that the hypermax is the best from the service aspect of it

Read the FAQ at the top of this forum. That subject is one that has been beat to death.

I for one like the ATS turbo since you get a true 3" down pipe,The banks is nice too.Gives a nice whistle. Not too keen on the Hyper.I like the waste gate on the ATS and Banks. You can tinker a little more and get the perfect mix of Fuel to air.

I was just ready the FAQ's. Got most curious about the wastegate/non. Seemed like the biggest diff is whether you want better low end or high end performance  . That one is going to take a little (er...lot) more research! Anybody lugging up mtns everyday? That's my biggest concern, truck runs great on launch and highway on these flat roads!

The more I learn the less I know!
