Now my truck won't start

Not tryin to be a wiseguy but is there enough oil in the pan? When you have a problem like you are experiencing that is the first thing you need to check. Low oil in the pan = starved HPOP.

When it first happened, it was probably about a quart low. It did start several times, before I drove it home and it was low then... Wasn't till after I got it home, that it failed to start. I did top off the oil in the crankcase, just before it failed to start. I should have done it, before driving it home...
