Normal Temps

I finally got my EGT guage and trans temp guages installed. Its an 88 with the C6 trans. The temperature probe is installed about 6 inches down from where the manifold meets the exhaust pipe.

I know 1200 is danger point for egt, but what temps should I be expecting at idle, driving without a trailer, and towing. Also my trans temps seem really low. I haven't checked towing, but driving around town the needle barely goes up at all. Its sitting right at 100 degrees. It moves just enough that I know its hooked up.

On the pyro at Idle, you should be around 250. Driving on the flat, you might see 600 to 900 depending on the gears and what not. Not sure about the C6. I never put a gauge on mine. Just spent the money on a cooler instead.
