looking to sell two 6.9’s and a tranny
one with 280k miles ran really good had new injection pump around 60k miles ago, injectors about 10-12k miles ago, new glow plug relay, glow plugs were in good shape. no HG leaks attached to a working 4x4 C6 tranny (no transfer case)
top of timing cover got hit when removing from the truck and knocked a small hole in the top piece where tach sensor would go, i didn’t mind because i had different plan for that motor. was going to tear down and do a rebuild with cam, side mount turbo setup etc and slide into a jeep cj7 but friend gave me two 6.2’s one with a banks setup for free. hard to argue. id like to do the 6.9 but its a lot longer and heavier.....
Second motor had 130k, owner suspected injection pump issue was developing but he was unsure he fired it up for me an it fired up and idled but died when revved up. had good oil pressure seemed to be in good shape.
I bought second motor to swap all the injectors, injection pump glow plugs and relay onto so i could get the jeep up and running, as well i wanted a second manifold to machine and make a turbo manifold out of. ultimately that didn’t happen so now i have two complete motors sitting here taking up shop space. both have all accessories, both had relatively new starters (like in the last year iirc both were replaced by the previous owners, motors both started up quickly).
Im in them $400 and $300 would prefer to sell as pair for $600 i’ll eat the $100 just to get the shop space.
