I am not getting a crank on my 95 7.3 psd, 5spd. Getting 3v at the trigger wire on starter solenoid. I'm guessing it's something simple but it eludes me. Please help

Will the starter spin when jumping across the solenoid on passenger fender?

Oh I forgot to say, I can jump the starter and she starts no prob. And the ign switch shuts it back off.

Jumping the fender solenoid starts it fine. It only has 3v at the trigger wire at the fender solenoid when key is turned to crank

So that points to something between the switch and the solenoid. Probably the first thing I would check is the clutch switch. On my '97 no matter how hard I think I'm pushing the clutch, it requires what feels like your trying to push it through the floor to get the starter to engage.

I tried working the clutch pedal but that didn't help. I guess I'll check the wires to see if I'm getting 12v to it and through it
