Oh, I don't know. I have gotten 22.3 mpg in my 6.0, but that was driving at 55 mph. I drive 70+ so it is not that good.

I run 3.73 and Auto tranny. It is a 4 X 4 so that doesn't help my mileage.

Apples and oranges guys........

@Waystro's new truck is a 6.0L Chevy GASOLINE Vortec V-8 4x4 Automatic

@DaveBen's truck is a 6.0L Ford DIESEL Powerstoke V-8 4x4 Automatic.......

So into the 20's for Dave doesn't surprise me, as I have seen 20+ from my Excursion...... if Waystro could get 20 that would be amazing!!!!!!!

Ohhh Dave Ben you fooled us all! I was thinking 20mpg with 4x4 and 6.0 ls engine would be near impossible

NOT if you drive 55 mph. I did it and I almost had an heart attack by driving that slow.

I thought you drive a diesel 6.0? We’re talkin the Chevy ls engine here, you’d be pushing pretty hard to get 20 mpg in a truck like what waystro has.

Best I've seen in our suburban was 16 mpg, on a tank that was mostly 65 mph cruising with AC. It is what it is. Our old Excursion would do 20-21 mpg at 75 mph (2wd though).

There's more pro's for the powerstroke than con's in my opinion vs the 6.0 ls but I just don't want a car payment right now and the burb is paid off. It is nice to warm up in 1/2 mile instead of 5 though!

Lol. My 88 4x4 2500 400 trans TBI suburban gets 8 mpg doing 55 down hill with the wind at its back and my wife being the only one in it. That 6.0 will have gobs more power and better mileage to boot. And ac....
