ok, so youve changed injectors with one from the other 7,

did you read that this injector is different than the rest?
not saying this is your issue. but it could be.

when i was chasing a bad injector, i swapped the bad hole with a good one, this told me if it was indeed the injector or the harness.

i would highly suggest at this point to not only change the VCH, but to replace the pig tail thats going into the harness.

do not use dorman valve cover harness's they will get brittle and expose wire in a matter of months.

i would also swap to 99-03 valve cover harnesses if youre gonna do the pig tail.

1 connector is better than 2.

No i swapped it with one that came with the truck to see if the injector was the knocking issue or not.i haven't swapped the one that was missing which It wasn't this morning.after work im gone swap that injector back out and also pull the other vc.im gonna see if maybe somethin on that side is funky and causeing it.cause personaly I don't want to pull the motor I already gotta rebuild the trans cause reverse don't always want to go in

You have to run the truck hard to get the air out of the oil rails after r/r that injector.

Plug? You mean the CONNECTOR to the UVCH? Or the (very sketchy looking) wire to the TERMINAL on the glow plug relay?

UVCH connectors are the same on a '94.5 and a '96. If you have some UVCH connectors, and they don't fit your '94, they're probably for an SD and won't fit your '96 either. Whatever you do, DON'T get DORMAN pigtails/connectors/gaskets. Several of the sponsors of the other forum sites (possibly this one too), such as RiffRaff Diesel, carry OEM solutions at a decent price.

(You have a _plug_ in the middle of your oil pan, and the bottom of your tranny, your radiator, etc. Those ^^^ are _connectors_. )

Well you've identified a problem. May not be the main cause, but it might be. Definitely want to get that UVCH fixed, even if it's not the root cause, you want to be sure those are healty connections before you start trying to chase down anything else.

^^^ Good move. If you're seeing electrical damage on the outside connector, there's a good chance there's damage inside as well.

fyi, if youre gonna swap injectors to see if this is your issue, you should swap it with one that you know for a fact, works.

listen to the previous posts, we are not ford certified mechanics, but we know first hand what does not work.

concentrate on your wiring before anything else like madpogue said.
more than likely this is your issue.
