new glow plug solenoid buzzing??

Just put a new glow plug solenoid and all new glow plugs on my truck. When I press my glow plug button the solenoid buzzes. If I unhook the glow plug harness it will just click. Bad solenoid? Never heard one make noise before. Its a standard brand solenoid if that makes any difference.

Some of them use the ground as the switched signal. And some use positive power. Maybe someone here will know. I haven't messed with any factory controllers, just solenoids for manual control. The only thing I have with factory control is my 94 PSD and it works great. Any chance you can return it and just get a normal starter solenoid? It'd be cheaper, IIRC.
