Pensacola Pumps in Florida will be the best and cheapest pump at around $295.00 with no core. Several of us bought them and like them. Some had nothing but issues with. I have been running there pump off and on without issues. I trade them around and run my Moose upmp. Then run the pensacola pump. I have the typ4 BB code injectors and they flat get the job done. My other sets og G codes were not a very good injector either. So don't think you are going to run a set og turbo G codes and it will scream... They just don't work as well as BB injectors do...

well once i check the FSS thats about my only option left, just hate to buy new injectors and a new pump for a truck with 450,000 on it lol. What is the Typ4 place that you got your stuff from? Im looking for a cheaper way out cause the best price i can get on the pump alone from Ford is $411

Typ4 isn't a place, he's a guy here on the forum.

We have two forum members who supply injectors and injector pump, Agnem and Typ4. Both individuals are very knowledgeable, very competent, and supply a superior product. Both are trustworthy and stand behind their products. And, of course, both are forum members. Be aware, Russ, Typ4, is off to Europe for the month of June.

well i talked to the original owner that i bought the truck from and he said the injectors have never been touched and the pump is 6-7 years old, so most likely thats my problem, i checked the solenoid it clicks when i ground it but the weird thing is when i turn the ignition on it iradically clicks like 15 times, is that normal or could i still have a problem with my FSS

Your FSS clicks, or the glow plug relay clicks? If the glow plug relay clicks off and on, it sounds to me like glow plug issues.

The FSS should only click once when the key is turned on, and once when it is turned off...that's it.

when i ground the FSS, and when i turn the ignition on it sounds like it is coming from the same place, ill price one tomorrow, if its not too bad ill try that if not its got to be the pump and like i said as old as the pump is and the injectors are original so it wouldnt hurt to refresh the fuel system, my question is would it be better to get a set of Delphi injectors for $174, or rebuilt ones for $108 im lookin on this website http://pensacoladiesel.com/ford-6-9l-7-3l/injectors.html, i dont want high dollar factory ones i just want stuff that will do the job for a good price this is just a high mileage daily driver right now.

just to be clear....you said you are grounding the FSS? You need to run a positive lead to this terminal, not a ground. Sorry if I said ground before, but If I said ground I should have said positive lead off the battery.

The clicking you are describing sounds to me like a GP relay. I would check out the GP's and make sure that all 8 work and are getting fire.

When my GP's burned up, because I used Bosch plugs, I had the same thing happen. The relay would click and snap for about 10 - 15 seconds and stop. I had to give it a sniff of ether to get it to kick off. But for your sake, make DAMN sure that the glow plugs ain't live....Red hot glow plugs and ether WILL result in memory loss, plastic facial surgery and a lot of 4 letter long words that start with "F". I don't wanna send the "new guy" into a bad situation lol.

If the plugs are burnt up, replace with MOTORCRAFT or BERU plugs only...most others are junk and won't last. I am a victim myself of cheap plugs. Take a test light, clip one end to the positive end of the battery post, and then tough the screwdriver end of the test light on EACH plug, while it is unplugged. If the light lights up, the plug is ok, if it doesn't light up...replace that plug.

As far as new VS. rebuilt, BigRigTech bought a set of rebuilt injectors from Pensacola, and has had good luck with them so far. It would be the route I would take if I was trying to save a bunch of $$.

Don't even fool with rebuilt injectors, I'm surprized anyone still rebuilds them as new ones are usually the same price if you shop around. and after trying to time a pensacola pump in futility , I wouldn't spend a dime with those people. If Russ isn't available then you would probably be beter off at a local injection shop getting a new set and have them pop tested before you buy them. It is not unheard of for them to be bad out of the box even new. I know you're not used to this having delt with Bosch injection before, but stanadyne stuff is just plain cheap and not just in price. If you replace them you will need an install kit at the same time and then you will find out that nobody in the room at Stanadyne was sober the day they came up with that setup.

alright so for sure the FSS clicks when i hit it with a wire straight from the + battery post but the weird thing is with my DMM im gettin 11.88v testing from the positve side of the battery to the end of the wire that plugs up to the solenoid. SO my question is why does it not click when ever i plug the wire thats supposed to be plugged on to it, i can plug and unplug that wire and it doesnt click!

IT could be a couple of things. Check your ignition under the dash. It may not be engaging all the way. Follow that wire back to the plug on the driver side inner fender, it may be corroded.

If worse comes to worse, just run a little toggle switch to turn it on and off.

Now, with that wire connected from the battery....will it start?
