Need Help engine wont start after trying lots of things .

Happy to learn you got it running.. Now get your money back from diesel careless. They do not have a good rep for selling quality parts. Thats a sad note too because they sure have a great selling pitch attempting to let you know they are the greatest since sliced bread.

Not high jack the thread But WHO is really to trust with new refurbished IP . SO TRULY WHO is the real McCoy ..For some one to get thier current Pump rebuilt or to buy from .. I seen half dozen of vendors names here on the forum with DO NOT GET FROM THEM . I am not in the market for any pump work or replacement yet but just curious

The 2 I would recommend is:

East Side of the US - Conestoga Diesel Injection - Mel (Agnem) yes, that guy right above this post. He is in Eastern Pennsylvania. I am in Central Indiana, and plan on sending the pump from my VW to Mel to get it "Tuned Up" and stop leaking. I have dealt with Mel on a few things, and have met him in person at a few rallys, he and Suzi are great to work with.

West Coast - Russ (typ4), he has a reputable pump shop he works with, and he and others have had a great deal of success with that shop.

A third shop is R&D IDI Performance. He is fairly new to the scene, and a few members here have used his "stuff" and have reported good things back from him.....

I wonder what the compression would show now.

That's a good question. If he still has his tester and was curious, he could see if the compression went up significantly compared to his first tests.
