Any ideas what might cause this? If I had to guess there's only 20-30k on the disc since I did the smf conversion. My clutch pedal has the typical pin wear and egged out master cyl bore. I fixed the pedal assy thinking it was why I was having a tough time shifting and still couldn't get it in gear from a stop. Pulled the trans and found this. Did I hurt it by not having complete disengagement from the pedal wear? The friction material is in great shape and shows hardly any wear. It was either a Luk or Sachs kit, I did it 6 or 7 years ago in my previous truck and just don't recall the brand.

Is it possible to buy just the disc? All I've been able to find are the full kits. I'm not opposed to going that route, but everything else is in really nice shape so if I can get just a disc for a good price I'd be happy.

Yes. The friction disc is available alone and much cheaper than the rest of the clutch kit. Business likes to upsell us all the time and asking is one way to find whats a better deal for you.

Maybe you could make a single mass disk out of it, if you just weld it all back together? LOL

Just kidding. :)
