I second being careful and using a line wrench on the hard line. The hardest part for me was cleaning off all the 20 year old gasket material from the block. I went with a straight shaft pump because it is supposedly easier to install.

yea there 9/16 bolts but guess the 14 is fine, glad you got it done! My batteries almost died trying to start it up after i finished the job, truck finally started after the cranking speed started to slow down.

These engines are nice to work on, they are all standard. Anything you run into that is metric, is something that Ford stuck on the engine, like the vacuum pump brackets.
