I did not think about it that way. Ive sold and bought on ebay for sometime now and always felt safer selling that way. Sometime ago I sold off some parts by talking to people on forums. One fellow sent me a check that bounced and another came to my house and picked up a item with a fake money order(which I found out a couple days later) after he took item. Then several weeks later a lot of items come up missing from my shop. Thats the reason I have come to like ebay. Its not as personal as I would like it to be, but I hate to loose my stuff to nonpayment. I apologize to all the members and from now on I will list in the selling section. Is there a way to take paypall without it being through ebay for my piece of mind? greg

I can understand your hesitation on selling to forum members. In defense to THIS forum, I have yet to get a report from anyone that something like that has happened here. Granted, there are many new faces I'm not very familiar with, but you'll find that most who participate here are 1) pretty straight up, honest and helpfull. 2) Won't survive long here if they do engage in fraud towards forum members.
I can't speak for other forums, but if you are looking for advice on your projects here, get to know the guys and give us a chance before condemming the group.
