Greg, I thought you posted here to sell the kit to a member? You'd originally said something about selling it outright, thats why I linked you to this guys ad.
Do what you want with it as its yours to do whatever with.
But I personally HATE it when people post up on a forum, raise a bunch of interest on something, only to list the damn thing on ebay!
Thats just low man.

I did not think about it that way. Ive sold and bought on ebay for sometime now and always felt safer selling that way. Sometime ago I sold off some parts by talking to people on forums. One fellow sent me a check that bounced and another came to my house and picked up a item with a fake money order(which I found out a couple days later) after he took item. Then several weeks later a lot of items come up missing from my shop. Thats the reason I have come to like ebay. Its not as personal as I would like it to be, but I hate to loose my stuff to nonpayment. I apologize to all the members and from now on I will list in the selling section. Is there a way to take paypall without it being through ebay for my piece of mind? greg:( :

Hey Greg,
Now that reasoning I can understand.
You have a paypal account correct? You have your bank account linked to your paypal account? If so then you're good to go on taking payments through paypal. It takes them like 7 days to transfer money into your actual bank account, and they take a fee out of it, but its for sure a safe way of transferring money.

Do most people on the forums use paypall or other forms? I will get on paypall and figure it out how to properly use it. The bottom fell out of the metal market in my area because of some bigger metal places shutting down temporally. I will have to sell a lot of small stuff to make my money back if turbo dosent sell pretty high. The truck has good fenders and doors and glass but I have never tried shipping these kind of items and I figure they would try to **** me on price. I think I might try to pull tranny because it doesn't look to hard and it run nice and shifted pretty nice.

paypal can be used for anything, not just ebay. from what i have seen, turbos on ebay have been rediculously high. that has always been the nature of it since alot more people can see the auction. but then ebay takes their fees, fees, and more fees. i would rather buy from craigslist or more so on here and give us guys a chance to get something at a good rate. i dont have a lot of money to spend, as i am sure are others, and i have been told that i am pretty frugile. i am not going to spend 800 on up for a used turbo that i am going to rebuild anyway for a piece of mind. my truck has to get me there and back without worrying when its going to break. do what you want as everyone needs money, but i agree that it wasnt the best route to drum up interest and then go else where. if you were looking to see what a turbo set up goes for on ebay, do one of their searches for old auctions. i used to sell a lot on ebay, but got tired of being bent over by them with their rules and fees. and i am sorry that you have had such bad luck with other transaction in the past.

I did not know that you could look up old auctions. That would be interesting. Im not the kind of person that likes to state a given price because I dont like to rip off people when I don't know what its worth. Given that, one time I started a item out on eBay for $1.00 to save on insertion fees and that $200 item went for $1. You loose some and get the better on some. I think what im going to do with the rest of my items is put them on here and let people make me what they think is a far offer. Mabe that will work out good and make some people happy too!

Greg, Yes I use paypal... it seems to be getting popular with ebay and other purchases not ebay related.

I have never found an easy way to find out old actions. I always look around ebay and save things im interested in, or things I might sell. Then I go to my ebay and I can see what it sold for... its kind of like a bookmark...

I'd have to agree with Sean. Generally speaking, when you put something on here, especially a turbo, your going to get people who are interested, and as long as you post your price and get a buyer lined up, I don't think you have to worry very much about not dealing with someone with integrity. For one thing, nobody here is going to screw somebody over when it's likely that that person is going to be publicly ridiculed if either party doesn't hold up their end of the bargain. The second reason is there is a good chance those people will meet face to face at an event someday. Nobody wants an enemy on here. Paypal is a great way to do a transaction outside of ebay. People here are usually set up for it, and don't mind using it. Better yet, you might sell to somebody who will personally pick it up, so you get to make a freind on the board in person, and can get a check or cash so nobody else has to get a cut. The marketplace here is free, and doesn't take a percentage of the deal.
