LMC headlight relay kit, replacement relays

I recall reading some time ago about how LMC relay kits used a relay that isn't commonly found at a parts store. Has anyone come up with a modification or adapted the harness to accept of more common relay?

Some were just ordering extra relays from lmc.
Or wiring in the normal type relay. I thought someone did a write up.

If you wanted to, you could just clip the connectors off that come with the harness and replace with these or similar.

I and one of the guys I work with were talking about this cuz I had one of the relays go bad, and his tour is to pull the pins out of the wiring harness that came from LMC and push them into the plastic connector for the Bosch relays.

That seems like the best thing to do I think.

I just bought a couple extra relays from LMC and threw them in the glove box. Knock on wood, I've head the harness installed for a couple years now without any issues.

Here's a previous thread on an alternative. Grabbed the Crown Vic relay sometime ago, to work with the LMC harness, but other issues with the van have delayed my working on the lighting.
