Have any of your replaced the turbo inlet on yours? I'm led to believe that GM built a poorly designed inlet on the LLY that doesn't flow well.

Any other mods that help this engine?

This is the site that recommends and sells a modified inlet along with an MPG program.

Replaced turbo inlet

I did the turbo inlet replacement using the inlet off a LBZ. In my mind that is the best way to go. The engine spools up quicker and seemed to gain a little mpg. I get about 20 on the highway at 65. Go to dieselplace.com and they have a sticky that addresses the whole thing. You can go the same route I did and spend @ $100 and do the project in about 45 minutes, or you can go with after market stuff and spend several hundred.

I did mine today using the LBZ and a kit made my Profab that replaces the stock hose. Pretty clean setup once you finally get it on. I'm not sure what I'm getting for MPG yet, but it sure isn't 20! I wish the 2005 had the 6 speed Allison, that has to help freeway mileage because mine runs at about 2grand at 65 vs about 1600 with the LBZ.
