Lift pump replacement time

Its done, bypassed the mechanical lift pump and wired in an electric fuel punp 5-7 psi.
Hot wite to glow plug relay hotwire onthe constant side... pump bolted to fenderwell , its plastic so will see how she faires...may have to move but naybe not.

If its mechanical lift pump why not just block it iff and go electric?

Well....the main reason I don't go electric on 94-97 psd's is because they don't seem to have the air intrusion/drain back issues that the idi's did. Or at least not as common. So I like to keep non electronic things in service whenever possible but with the idi's man sometimes its tough to justify staying with a mechanic pump.

Yes. I know when Mel calibrates a pump, his machine is set for 5 PSI.
